Monday, February 27th – Monday, April 10th, 2017
Rather than a task you have to fulfill, or an external goal you have to attain, have you ever seen your life purpose as a gift that already exists in yourself—a current of aliveness whose taste and expression are unique to you? We will use poetry and writing exercises to orient ourselves towards our deeper values and aspirations—those that place us as active participants in the great web of belonging, while at the same time celebrating the uniqueness of our authentic being. Through these six weeks of exploration, you will have the opportunity to deepen your relationship with yourself and listen more intimately to your original voice.
Themes we shall cover will include:
Unfolding your own myth
Distinguishing your story from others
Trusting the joy
Engaging the obstacles
Knowing what you stand for
No prior writing or meditation experience is required.
Who Will Benefit from this Class:
Both writers and non-writers who wish to explore the deeper layers of their life journey.
How the Class Works:
The course will be taught through Google Groups. Every Monday morning you will receive an email with the week’s assignment, and you will send your written response to our Google Groups Room, where every other participant will be able to see it and comment on it if they wish. I will comment on everyone’s work each week. You will benefit not only from your work, but through the work of all students, as you will see all of the assignments and my feedback to everyone (if you would rather submit your assignments to me privately, that is ok too). I also encourage you to communicate with each other during the class, providing input and support as you see fit. I will hold one teleconference during the session: an opportunity for you to ask questions and for us to talk together about the work we are doing. These usually last for up to an hour.
NOTE: For the private online Google group and forum, we will use the email address connected to your PayPal account. If you would like to use a different email address, after you have signed up for the course, please email my assistant, Robert, with the name of the course you have signed up for and the email address you would like to use. Robert may be reached at email@example.com.
Cost: $307 (Early Bird!) until February 13th, 2017, then $357 after February 13th, 2017
